How to Spot Fake CDG Play: The 6-Check Method
The fastest way to spot a fake CDG Play piece is to read the heart logo first: on a real one the two eyes sit high and even inside the heart, the embroidery is dense and slightly raised, and the neck label reads PLAY COMME des GARCONS with clean spacing. Most fakes miss on one of those three before you get anywhere near the fabric. Here are the six checks I run, in order, on any Play tee, hoodie, cardigan, or Converse collab, and where they usually fall apart.
